Brain And Spinal Injury CentreThe Brain And Spinal Injury Centre (BASIC) is a specialist resource in Salford for people and their families following an acquired brain injury or neurological diagnosis. This includes people recovering from severe head injury, brain haemorrhage, brain tumour and other brain-related conditions such as stroke and brain cancer. more

Community Champions - Salford Foundation The Community Champions Project was set up in October 2008, and is funded through the Learning and Skills Council and Salford Council.
The aim is to increase awareness of education, training and employment opportunities within local communities in Salford by recruiting and training local residents as Community Champions who will promote the services available in their respective communities.
The Community Champions will be recruited from the following wards in Salford: Barton, Blackfriars, Broughton, Eccles, Kersal, Langworthy, Little Hulton, Ordsall, Pendleton, Walkden North, Weaste, Seedley and Winton.
This project will empower local residents with practical information about all the options available in an informal and relaxed setting in order for them to make informed decisions about changes they can make in their lives.
